The Bored Ape Yacht Club Team, Yuga Labs, just dropped a tweet containing a video on March 19, 2022 around 8:25 AM that has created a sensation in the NFT and Metaverse community. They have confirmed that they are developing their own Bored Ape Metaverse called Otherside.
In this blog post, I will decode the video in the tweet of Yuga Labs confirming the Bored Ape Metaverse or Yuga Metaverse called Otherside. There is going to be different NFT character interoperability, Land and more interesting stuff.

DECODING THE VIDEO OF BORED APE METAVERSE, OTHERSIDE
Yuga labs provide this official tweet containing an animated video, I will explain in detail the video. The video is of 1 minutes 34 seconds.
The animation is superb, which proves the otherside metaverse graphics quality will be of good quality. The animation studio is still not know.
THE BLUE GLOWING TONIC BOOTLE
In the video, a bored ape is chilling up smoking a cigar and fishing. He fishes a bottle containing some kind of serum or tonic giving out bluish glow. The serum is labeled “Don’t Drink Me”. But, the Don’t label is covered with some algae so he doesn’t see it. It seems to him it is written “Drink Me”.
The bootle also contains the image of an interesting character, which you will come to later in the upcoming section of this post. Only the head potion of the character is shown with horns and blue glowing eyes.
The bored ape is chilled out. He pops out the cork of the bootle with his finger, spits out his cigar, drinks the serum full.
The serum or tonic is going to be part of the bored ape metaverse like Smooth Love Potion of Axie Infinity. It will be essential for some specific purpose.
LAND IN THE BORED APE METAVERSE
As soon as he finishes it, volcanic land just erupts out of nowhere full of lava. He gets scared. Next he sees glaciers of ice erupting up and purple floating land. This indicates these types of land will be part of the Bored ape metaverse.
In the whole event, he is still holding the bottle and now the algae over the bottle blows away. He now realizes his mistake when the level on the bottle actually says “Don’t Drink Me”.

THE KODA
Next, it is shown that he gets lifted up by some pretty interesting characters. It seems to be another character inside of the bored ape metaverse, the Otherside. The character could be “Koda” which is essentially another NFT of Yuga Labs.
The Koda shown in the video is going to be a small character but of naughty type like the “Chucky” character from the Hollywood movie series by the same name. It is going to have the following character
- Short Stature
- Purple Body Color
- Big Blue Glowing Eyes
- Tail
- Horns
- Can Fly
- Wearing Red shirts and Pants and sometimes only yellow shorts and scarf
The koda is going to be your companion character in the metaverse.
NFT CHARACTERS INTEROPERABILITY
The character files him above all the land that is going to be part of this bored ape metaverse.
Next some interesting things are shown in the video. A submarine just pops out of the water in front of them containing all the different types of NFT characters from other collections made by the Yuga Labs. This shows they are going to be part of the metaverse.
So, there is going to be NFT compatibility and interoperability in the Bored Ape Metaverse.
